At Leadwood Safari Lodge in Louis Trichardt, Limpopo, the days move at the pace of the bushveld. Guests can settle into the surrounding wilderness at their own speed, from quiet birdwatching and a morning swim to an optional guided game drive in search of the region’s wildlife. Everything below is included or available during your stay.
Optional game drives take guests out into the surrounding bushveld in search of the wildlife that calls this part of Limpopo home, accompanied by a knowledgeable guide. Drives are not included in the full board rate and are booked separately, in advance.
Keep an eye out for antelope, giraffe, buffalo, leopard, elephant, lion, cheetah and more, depending on what the bushveld has in store on the day.
The bushveld surrounding Leadwood is home to a wide variety of birdlife, making for easy, unhurried birdwatching from the lodge grounds at any time of day.
Cool off between activities at the lodge’s swimming pool, a relaxed spot to unwind with views out over the surrounding bushveld.
Beyond the organised activities, Leadwood is a place to slow down, with private verandas, gardens and quiet corners to simply take in the Limpopo bushveld.
Leadwood is developing a series of day tours around Louis Trichardt for guests who would like to explore the region’s Venda heritage and visit local cultural villages. These tours are coming soon and are not yet available to book.
